You’re Not Eating Enough Protein

Muscle is built from protein. Without enough of it, your body simply doesn’t have the raw materials to grow. A good rule of thumb: aim for at least 1.6–2.2g of protein per kilogram of bodyweight per day. Cardio is great for heart health, but too much of it can interfere with recovery and muscle growth. If building muscle is your goal, strength training should take priority, with cardio playing a supporting role—not the main event.
